Pediatric Therapy

Pediatric Physical Therapy

Early identification and treatment of movement disorders in children can help children reach an optimal level of functioning at home, at school and in the community. We work with the child’s support system of parents, caregivers and others to encourage children to function independently in their own environment.

Therapy can bring about improvement with the following conditions:

  • Developmental delay and abnormal movement patterns
  • Medical conditions related to prematurity
  • Orthopedic problems including pain, fracture, dislocation and muscle tightness or weakness
  • Torticollis
  • Congenital anomalies related to conditions such as Down Syndrome
  • Neurologic disorders such as cerebral palsy, spina bifida or muscular dystrophy
  • Spinal cord or head injury
  • Weakness due to illness

Our physical therapy services include evaluation and treatment of movement disorders that may cause difficulties with gross motor and functional skills. Our physical therapists specialize in using exercises and therapeutic play to address movement, coordination, balance, strength, flexibility or endurance issues. For more information, Contact us at Midland & Coleman, MI centers.
